BABBITT, Minn. — The 3-year-old girl stabbed multiple times allegedly by her mother’s boyfriend, has been released from the hospital in Ely.
The 27-year-old man was shot and wounded by police in Babbitt Tuesday as he held a knife to the child. A police officer initially tried disarming the suspect by deploying a stun gun, but it was ineffective. The man is hospitalized in Duluth.
