The cause of a Monday morning garage fire in Austin is unknown.

According to the police report, Austin police officers and firefighters went to the 1900 block of Oakland Avenue E at 12:25 a.m. Monday and extinguished the blaze after about an hour and a half. Firefighters remained on scene and didn’t leave until about 2:30 a.m. Firefighters limited damage to the garage, which was detached from the house.

Austin Fire Chief Mickey Healey has forwarded the investigation to the state fire marshal to determine the cause of the blaze.
