There’s a new president at Pacelli Catholic Schools.

The schools’ Board of Trustees hired Lori Walz earlier this month after former president Joseph Steepleton retired from the district.

“She’s been involved in Catholic Schools for some time,” said Father Dale Tupper. “I think she’ll be a pretty good fit for the place. She’s dynamic and energetic.”

Tupper said Walz, who most recently was principal at Saint Joseph Catholic High School in Ogden, Utah, also has area ties, as she worked at Cotter High School in Winona.

Walz will start her tenure next month.
