Alleged choker awaits charges
A 25-year-old man is in Mower County Jail pending formal charges after being arrested for felony domestic strangulation Sunday.
Officers were dispatched at 1:15 a.m. to City Limit Apartments, according to Lt. John Mueller of the Austin Police Department. A 59-year-old woman was involved according to police and is presumed to be the victim. The 25-year-old’s name has not been released as he has not yet been formally charged.
The victim and the man apparently lived together and are related, according to police reports.
