RCC presents spring show

The Riverland Community College music department will present its spring concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6 at the Frank W. Bridges Theatre.

“Trippin’ Through Time,” will feature the Riverland College Choir, Frequency (formerly the Briars) and Riverland Connection singing hits ranging from 1964 through 2014. The eclectic assortment of music will include Rodgers and Hammerstein, Billy Joel, Adele, Queen, Gershwin Mankato’s own David Dickau and more.

This show will be a first for the newly-formed Riverland Connection, an ensemble of alumni singers.

The Riverland College Choir will present selections from “The World Beloved, A Bluegrass Mass,” which was a piece they will be performing in New York’s Carnegie Hall in June.

Frequency will bring to life favorites like Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “The Best of GLEE — Season 3 and a flashback to the 80s with a medley of music by Weird Al Yankovick.
