MNsure town hall meeting to be held Monday in Austin

MNsure CEO Allison O’Toole will join state Rep. Jeanne Poppe and state Sen. Dan Sparks, both DFL-Austin, to discuss the state’s health insurance exchange in Austin on Monday.

The event is a discussion about the state-based marketplace and how Minnesotans can benefit by enrolling in health insurance coverage through MNsure. It will be held at 10 a.m. in the conference room in the Town Center building, 329 N. Main St.

The event is being hosted by Chuck Moline of AdvisorNet Financial, a MNsure Broker Enrollment Center.

The public is invited to attend to get questions answered or to hear more information about how to enroll in health insurance coverage through MNsure.

The 2016 open enrollment period for MNsure began Nov. 1 and will end on Jan. 31, 2016. Small group employers and Minnesotans eligible for Medical Assistance or MinnesotaCare can enroll year round.

As of May 2014, 95 percent of Minnesotans have health coverage — the highest percentage in state history.
