Art Center to host limited watercolor class

The Austin Area Art Center is excited to host a drawing and watercolor workshop to be held by Bonnie Broitzman.

Broitzman has been a professional art instructor her whole life, (B.A. in Art Education from North Central College, Naperville, IL and M.A. from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN) and derives great pleasure from helping others achieve success in portraying the human face. She will begin with some basic sketching exercises that will help you to capture the essence of portrait drawing more quickly and confidently. From there she will guide you step by step through the process of portrait painting with watercolors.

The workshop will be held at the Austin Area Art Center located in the Oak Park Mall, Austin, MN. The three-day course will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, through Wednesday, Oct. 19. The fee for this opportunity is $135 for Art Center members and $150 for non-members. With room for 15 students, pre-registration is required to insure a spot in this workshop, so come in to the Art Center soon to register and pick up your supply list. For more information, call 507-433-8451 or e-mail aaacoil @smig.net.

While you are at the Center, make sure to check out the high quality art supplies we have for sale in the gallery. For your convenience, we can take special orders for all paints, brushes and paper needed for the workshop. To place an order, inquire by phone or email, or check at the receptionist desk at the Center.
