Trumpet player Wayne Bergeron will be joining the Jazz MN Orchestra concert for a special show on Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Hopkins High School auditorium.

Minneapolis, Sept. 16, 2015 — “When looking at the program for the upcoming JazzMN Orchestra concert with guest artist Wayne Bergeron, all I can say is WOW, the audience is going to love this one!” said Artistic Director Doug Snapp.

Bergeron will join the JazzMN Orchestra for the second set performing music of trumpet greats who influenced his playing. The program will include works by Count Basie, Ellington/Louis Armstrong, Doc Severinsen, and Maynard Ferguson who influenced Bergeron.  Bergeron will also share the flavor of his own style with a Gordon Goodwin favorite Jazz Police.

As one of today’s leading trumpeters who can be heard on movie tracks including the “Green Hornet” and “Rocky Balboa” as well as on such TV shows as “Entertainment Tonight,” “American Idol” and “Jeopardy,” Bergeron has always been a popular artist at JazzMN concerts.

The concert is set for 7:30 p.m. on the third. Single tickets range from $10 to $30 in advance and $10 to $34 at the door. Find more info at JazzMN.org.
