The biggest games out in fall of 2015

The fall is drawing near, and with the seasonal change comes a deluge of games. There will be updates from some of the biggest series in the gaming industry, along with some original titles that will likely be a hit with gamers. Here’s a look at some of the biggest titles to come out over the next few months.

“Yoshi’s Woolly World”

Oct. 16. Rated E, Wii U

The spiritual successor to “Kirby’s Epic Yarn” has a lot of promise as a fun platformer for any age. The game design revolves around a stitched look, but don’t let this charmingly cute game fool you. It’ll likely be a go-to game for all kinds of gamers.

“Guitar Hero Live”

Oct. 20. Rated T, 360, PS4, PS3, XB1, Wii U

The series that started a music game revolution in North America is back after a long hiatus. Though musical instrument games were largely considered a fad that had blown over by the 2010s, the latest iteration of “Guitar Hero” hopes to draw gamers with live-looking backgrounds and a diverse soundtrack consisting of songs from Judas Priest, Skrillex, Carrie Underwood, Korn, alt-J, Mastodon, Ed Sheeran, Bob Dylan and more.

 “Assassin’s Creed Syndicate”

Oct. 23, Rated M, PS4, XB1

The latest “Assassin’s Creed” takes place in Victorian England, and developer Ubisoft hopes the latest “Assassin’s Creed” entry washes away the bad taste its previous large-scale game, “Assassin’s Creed Unity,” left in gamers’ mouthes. Whereas “Unity” suffered from glitchy gameplay and a sub-par plot line, “Syndicate” features a brother-and-sister duo driven to beat back the villainous Templars in London with what appears to be streamlined gameplay.

 “Halo 5: Guardians”

Oct. 27. Rated T, XB1

This game practically prints money. The latest “Halo” experience will draw players into a sci-fi world filled with space marines, aliens, and a whole lot of multiplayer madness in this popular first-person shooter.

 “Fallout 4”

Nov. 10. Rated M, PS4, XB1, PC

This hugely popular RPG takes place in a post-apocalyptic Boston as players struggle to survive the fallout of a nuclear war. The player emerges from a vault somewhere near the 24th century as the sole survivor after 200 years in stasis. The latest in the touted series promises interesting missions and a gripping plot.
